Development log 7: Sprint 2 after holidays
Hello, sand pirates, desert drifters, wind catchers! We are back from holidays and guess what? We were working on Sand&Rum even more since we had some extra free time! The project grows bigger and bigger! But let's actually see, how bigger we got!
Desert fauna: Kraken and Sand Tuna!
The sand-sea creatures have finally made their way to our game! They are a crucial part of local eco-system and are ready to sink your ship in no time! Kraken is a stationary source of physical damage, come too close and its tentacle will smash your ship, reducing ship's HP drastically.

Sand Tuna is a smaller creature but still quite a threat. It acts as a local natural torpedo, searching to destroy. When it detects a player nearby, it launches itself upwards and in direction of the player. Make sure to use your ship's agility to dodge those reckless sand-fishes!

Fisherman's dream: a fish that jumps in the boat
More feel: Camera shaking and sounds system!
We have refined and tuned the camera shaker! Now whenever the ship gets damage, you will see that damage clearly!
As the title of this part suggest, we also have a working sound system now. It plays shooting sounds, ship damage sounds and background music. We have already prepared a collection of cool SFX and music, all we need to do is to refine and attach them to correct events in the game. The game sounds cool already, make sure to check it out!
Take a break: Pause menu with a dynamic map!
The game can now be paused and during the pause you can inspect the map of the sand sea! We are still working on markers but you can already clearly see where the key things are! We have also restyled the islands, they now serve a purpose of passages. Some sort of sand pit-stops to unload your treasures, fix the ship and rejuvenate the crew.

Our artists have finished the main part of all the visuals and now are busy with polishing and mounting it and also making small auxiliary stuff to spice up the game a little!
We have gone far and now is the time to add all the last things, polish them and finally deliver a complete fun game!
