Development log 9: First week of polishing


Hello, dear players!

As promised, we started to polish the sand out of our project! We have encountered quite some things to fix and adjust. Please be patient, we are trying our best to deliver the best experience possible! Both the artists and programmers teams are inspecting all the fine details and do the best to make it as slick as possible. Nevertheless we also have some new fresh things to share with you.

Cannonball trajectory: Prediction = Precession 

A lot of playtesters were not satisfied with the way the cannon's charging was illustrated. Which is completely understandable: not only the charge-meter was not showing where the cannonball will fall, it also looked ugly. The new system that we use is way more illustrative and precise. It will be way easier to hit those long shots now!


New trajectory line! Aim for further!

Menu design: Sand&Rum

We finally managed to mount all the menu design elements on the actual game. We are still thinking about rearranging some menu pieces, but the main design is decided!

Kraken: new behavior

We have thought of a new role for the Krakens in the game: they now control some passings. If you are not fast enough, you will be flattened by the Kraken's tentacle! Before that the Krakens were rather chaotic and unpredictable, but now the are more like guardians of vital points on the map!


You shall (not) pass!

As mentioned, the artist do their best to bring the visuals of the game to the highest level possible. Props, animations, visual effects - everything gets a lot of extra attention!






The polishing goes well, we expect ourselves to be just in time with everything! We also expect you to enjoy our game a lot!
